A Texas couple immediately took action when they came across an abandoned newborn on a trail Saturday morning, still with her umbilical cord attached.

Daniela Fedele recounted how she and her husband casually walked along Casa Martin Drive in Katy, Texas, when their attention was drawn to a towel lying on the ground.

As her three-year-old daughter pedaled towards it, Fedele suddenly noticed something stirring beneath.

‘I noticed two little feet moving and then my husband was right behind me with the dogs and I yelled to my husband and I’m like, “Oh my God, a baby, a baby,”‘ Fedele recounted to KHOU.
