The trouble began when Zeus, a German Shepherd, came home from a walk with his owner. Bailey Jacobsen was terrified when a bear pursued Zeus along the lengthy driveway. The bear halted its pursuit of Zeus when it heard her piercing screams. Instead, the bear abruptly changed direction and began pursuing Jacobsen. Fortunately, she and Zeus managed to get away unharmed.

In an interview, Bailey admits that her actions at that moment were instinctual and she did not give it a second thought.
