BREAKING: Candace Cameron Bure Calls Out Paris Olympics for ‘Disgusting’ Opening Ceremony

Candace Cameron Bure has expressed her opinion on the opening ceremony for the Paris Olympics.

“To witness such an awe-inspiring and captivating event that will unfold in the coming weeks, and to observe the opening ceremonies that disrespect and ridicule the Christian faith through their portrayal of the Last Supper, was truly disgusting,” expressed the Full House and Fuller House alum.

Bure, a devoted Christian, voiced her dissatisfaction with a segment of the opening ceremony that seemed to depict Leonardo da Vinci’s famous painting of the Last Supper.

In a recent Instagram post, the actress expressed her feelings about the Olympics. Despite her admiration for the athletes she knows, this year’s event left her feeling incredibly sad.

“And then someone told me, ‘There’s no need to be sad. You have every right to be angry about it. And I’m thinking, ‘Trust me. It makes me mad.’ But I’m more sad, because I’m sad for souls.”

“So this is my encouragement to you,” she said. “Don’t get tired of doing good. Continue spreading the good news. And it’s not just for the people that like openly mock God. There are numerous people, including Christians, who claim that the situation didn’t really bother them. It is important to share the gospel with those people as well. It’s the ones that are lukewarm about it that may think like, ‘Ah – I don’t want to ruffle any feathers. Live and let live. Let people do what they want. I’m just gonna stay in my corner and be quiet about it.’”
