Two Strangers Who Look Identical and Share the Same Name Take a DNA Test to Learn the Truth

What are the chances that two strangers who look alike also share the same name? Now imagine those two nearly identical strangers with the same name also having the same job. The odds seem slim, right?

Let’s break it down. Roughly 42% of men worldwide wear glasses. Only 2.7% of men aged 30 are 6’4” or taller, and around 2% of the global population has natural red hair. So, finding someone who is 6’4″, has red hair, a red beard, and wears glasses is already pretty rare. But that’s not even the most surprising part of this story!

Meet Two Baseball Pitchers Named Brady Feigl There are two men who fit those exact characteristics, and both happen to be baseball pitchers named Brady Feigl. Strange, right?

Inside Edition wanted to know if 28-year-old Brady Feigl from St. Louis, MO, and 33-year-old Brady Feigl from Severn, Maryland, might be long-lost brothers. They decided to run DNA tests since there have been cases of siblings separated at birth who later found out they led remarkably similar lives.

For example, the «Jim Twins» were raised apart, adopted by different families, and only reunited as adults. They discovered they had many things in common: both had brothers named Larry, childhood pets named Toy, and had been married twice—first to women named Linda and later to women named Betty. They even named their firstborn sons the same and preferred the same brand of cigarettes and beer!

DNA Test Results It would have been fascinating to find out the two Bradys were related, but the DNA tests revealed otherwise. Though they look Irish, both Brady Feigls are 53% Germanic in origin. While they aren’t biological brothers, they feel they’ve formed a bond, agreeing that they are «brothers in a way.»

Brady Gregory Feigl is a free agent who pitched for Ole Miss and later for the Oakland Athletics. Brady Matthew Feigl has played for several teams, including the Texas Rangers, and most recently for the Pericos de Puebla in the Mexican League.

You might not have met your doppelgänger yet, but there could be one—or more—out there waiting!
