Keishaun Anderson shared preschool photos of her 2-year-old son, Arris, on Instagram, but they didn’t quite turn out as she expected.
Arris’s back-to-school pictures, taken on September 10, featured him sitting with a pouty face, hood up, and holding a Spider-Man toy. «I was speechless — I couldn’t believe he didn’t smile at all!» Anderson says. Despite the surprise, she found the images hilarious, as did her family and friends, knowing how expressive Arris usually is.
Rather than being shy or nervous, Anderson believes her son simply wanted to join his classmates on the playground. «He’s usually very photogenic,» she explains. When shown the photo, Arris reacted with a simple laugh, saying, «Haha, that’s me.»
Anderson posted the pictures on Instagram, where they quickly garnered attention and funny comments. «Imagine being excited for your son’s first picture day, and he brings these back home ,» she captioned the post. Responses ranged from «This is priceless » to «Me every Monday at work. I feel ya, boy .»
Though the pictures weren’t what she anticipated, Anderson plans to frame them and add copies to the family photo album. «Next year, I’ll hope for the best, but this year’s pep talk didn’t go as planned. It all depends on Arris’s mood,» she jokes.
