Mickey & Friends Go Global: Disney Launches New Collaborations and Exclusive Anniversary Merch in L.A.

After hitting London and Rio, Disney’s House of Mouse global tour made its first U.S. appearance in Los Angeles on June 5. The immersive, one-night-only pop-up took over NYA Studios West and wowed guests with exclusive merch reveals and a live DJ set from Anderson .Paak (a.k.a. DJ Pee .Wee).

The event spotlighted new 70th anniversary Disneyland collections, western-themed apparel, and streetwear-inspired Mickey & Friends pieces from Shoe Palace. Attendees got a sneak peek at nostalgic fashion collabs with Gap, Aeropostale, and Hot Topic, plus jewelry from Pandora, eyewear from Sunglass Hut, beauty tools by Touchland and Tweezerman, and collectibles from Pop Mart.

Some items are already available online via the Disney Store and Shoe Palace, while others will launch on June 6 and beyond. Highlights include vintage-style jorts, denim jackets, Minnie tennis skirts, bowling bags, and graphic sweatshirts showing Mickey and Minnie through the ages — plus plush toys from Disney Store Japan.

In addition to interactive displays and product drops, the celebration also marked the first L.A. event since Bobby Kim (formerly of The Hundreds) took over as VP of Creative for Disney Consumer Products in the Americas. While his first official designs haven’t launched yet, Kim said the tour is all about giving fans a “modern, emotional connection to the original friend crew,” calling Mickey & Friends a timeless symbol of authentic friendship.

Next stops: Shanghai and Australia.
