Meena, a young girl from a rural Indian village, walked barefoot five kilometers each way to attend school. She was the only girl in her village who studied.
After graduating, she returned—not to leave her past behind, but to uplift it.
She brought a chalkboard and began teaching children under a banyan tree. Years passed. Her outdoor classroom became a hub of learning. By age 60, Meena had taught over 1,000 people to read and write—many of whom went on to become teachers themselves.
Her classroom had no walls, but it built the future of an entire generation.
