Adam Levine stunned everyone with his version of Prince’s “Purple Rain”

Prince, the legendary and famous musician, passed away six years ago, on April 21, 2016, from an accidental overdose. He was 57 years old at the time.

His de.a.th was really devastating for everyone. He was discovered at his Paisley Park residence in Chanhassen, Minnesota.

There were no charges ever filed. Following his early passing, stories regarding his supposed drug usage started to circulate. Despite warning Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac about narcotics, he was apparently hooked on opiates.

Following his passing, supporters from all over the globe flocked to Paisley Park to pay their respects by putting purple flowers around his house and recording studio.

On the sixth anniversary of his passing, Paisley Park will host a unique charity event to support impoverished youngsters in Minneapolis.

Those who couldn’t make it to Paisley Park in the days after his passing expressed their condolences and honored the musical legend online.

Days after Prince’s death, Howard Stern re-posted a video of Adam Levine and Train performing Prince’s “Purple Rain” at a 2014 birthday party for Stern.

The video has subsequently gained over 70 million views, and it’s easy to see why. This is the finest performance of “Purple Rain” since Prince himself did it.

Even Prince was impressed by the performance!

In an interview with Stern years later, Levine said that Prince liked his version, which was strange.

“I’m extremely close to one of Prince’s buddies, and I’m like, what did he say?” “Levine said to Stern.” “He says,” “He took a lengthy pause and then remarked, “That was nice.””

Adam Levine’s performance, particularly his guitar solo, gave me chills.
