When the person next to him drops his book, he discovers a photo that falls from it-the photo was of his ex-wife, whom he’d lost 17 years before. Noah was a rich lawyer in San Francisco, California, with everything a man could want. He was enjoying the high life, with lots of money and a huge apartment in a prestigious area all to himself!

Noah’s sole missing piece was a family — a wife and kids. He was tired of being a bachelor and regularly went to Dallas, Texas, to visit his parents and brother, as well as his two nephews, John and Harry, and his small niece, Lily. Noah had not always been so alone in his life. He had a gorgeous wife, Victoria, and a two-year-old daughter, Lucy, but his stupidity cost him everything. He fell for his young secretary, who simply wanted him for his money!

Noah’s wife discovered his infidelity and refused to forgive him. She divorced him, took Lucy with her, and went away from his life. Noah realized his mistake when his secretary dumped him for a younger and wealthier man, but it was too late. Noah looked for Victoria and Lucy wherever he could, but it was all in vain since Victoria had cut all ties with him. As a result, he was left alone.

He didn’t give his heart to anybody for 17 years since he realized Victoria was the only one he had ever loved. He missed her. Noah now felt a twinge of jealousy and remorse every time he witnessed his brother tenderly embrace his wife and children. Noah understood that the grass was always greener on the other side. This was originally my wife’s idea… “I couldn’t say no to her,” he gently smiled. “My name is Josh, by the way.” This is Noah. Josh, it’s a pleasure to meet you. Please continue your reading. “Oh, no problem,” Josh said, returning to his reading as Noah flipped through the case files on his iPad.

Suddenly, their jet was shaken by heavy turbulence, and the captain told everyone to remain seated. During the turbulence, Josh’s book slipped from his fingers and crashed on the floor. Noah bent down to pick up the book for him, but then he noticed the picture that had fallen from the book. It was a photo of Victoria, and it reminded him of his divorce 17 years ago.

Noah was perplexed. He couldn’t stop wondering how Victoria’s photo ended up in Josh’s book. He took up the book and picture and handed them back to Josh, but he had one question on his mind. How did Josh get to know Victoria? Throughout the trip, Noah was curious about what was going on, so when they were leaving the airport for their different destinations after landing, he managed to ask Josh for his contact information, believing he’d learn more about him.

“Thank you very much, Josh,” Noah said, extending his hand for a handshake and accepting his business card. It was a joy to meet you.” “Same here, Noah,” Josh said, shaking his hand. “I’d be delighted to have you around any day.” “Perhaps some nice Charles Fraser suggestions will come my way,” he joked.

“Of course! As Josh walked away, he said, “Hope to see you soon!” Noah came to a halt when he noticed a lady approaching Josh.I’m overjoyed that you’re back, honey. “The kids and I miss you!” she exclaimed as she hugged and kissed him on the cheek.Noah couldn’t believe what he saw. “Oh my goodness! “She’s Josh’s wife?” he thought to himself, surprised.

When Noah and Victoria’s gazes connected, she recognized him as well, and before he realized it, Noah was smiling at her, which she responded to with a little nod. He felt she looked just as lovely and attractive as she did 17 years ago, if a little older. Noah wanted to hug her and say sorry, but he didn’t want to make her uncomfortable or upset.

His sentiments had no meaning now that he had pushed her away. After all, it was his fault that he didn’t have a nice family. He was in tears as he watched Josh and Victoria go towards their vehicle, where he spotted Lucy and a tiny child who he guessed was their son. While he was alone, they all seemed to be having a good time as a family. Noah disliked having chosen his secretary above Victoria and Lucy at the time.

Noah couldn’t get Victoria and Lucy’s joyous grins out of his head when Josh and Noah parted ways that day. So he phoned Josh from time to time and inquired about his family. It was enough for him to know that Victoria and Lucy were well. After a few years, Noah’s life began to change. He met Amanda, who, by all accounts, was not as attractive as Victoria, but she resembled her and reminded Noah of her. He married Amanda after falling in love with her.

When Noah landed in Texas to see his family, he emailed Josh and asked if they could come over for dinner. He told him about his wedding and how excited Amanda would be to meet everyone. Josh eagerly agreed, and the family enjoyed a lovely weekend together. After dinner, while everyone else was speaking, Victoria and Noah were alone on the balcony, and Noah apologized to her.

“I’m sorry, Victoria,” he said. I’m sorry for causing you so much pain, but I never had the chance to apologize to you. I really hope you have forgiven me… Furthermore, ” He paused for a moment. “Does Josh…does he know anything about us…about our history?” She smiled at him as she sipped her wine. “He is right. “So Noah’s your ex-husband?” he exclaimed when he found out about everything. Oh, poor creature, what did he go through? He cracked a joke about it, then promptly forgot about it. We cherish each other, Noah, and nothing from our history concerns us…” “Wow! He’s a master at keeping things to himself! He never even hinted at being aware… Anyway, Victoria, I’m thrilled for you. Trust me on this. ”

She burst out laughing. It’s the same here. I’m happy for you as well. Amanda is gorgeous; you hit the jackpot. Everything happens for a reason, Noah. We can’t control everything, so whatever occurred was probably for the best. We’re both happy, and that’s all that counts. So here’s to a fresh start! ” “Cheers!” he said as they returned from the balcony to join the rest of the party.

Noah and Victoria now live different lives, but they are happy with their families, which is the most important thing. In contrast, Noah feels positive that his emotions for Victoria will never wane. Regardless, he was pleased to be moving on with his life since she had found happiness elsewhere.
