According to People, Megan Markle wore pearl and diamond earrings to a service honoring the late monarch in London on Wednesday.

As the Queen’s casket was moved from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall, photographers captured images of the Duchess of Sussex wearing the earrings.

The Queen gave Markle the earrings in 2018 to commemorate their first solo trip together.

A month after marrying Prince Harry, Markle joined the Queen on a royal expedition to Cheshire via royal train. The two paid visits to community leaders and saw a schoolchildren’s play. At the celebration, Queen Elizabeth also wore a matching pair of pearl earrings.

Over the years, Queen Elizabeth has lent and presented jewelry to several female family members.

At a service of Thanksgiving for the Queen on Monday, Queen Consort Camilla wore a brooch given to her by the late Queen. The brooch belonged to the Queen Mother and was inherited by Queen Elizabeth after her death in 2002.

Princess Anne wore pearl and gold earrings in Scotland on Tuesday, as the Queen’s coffin was brought out of St. Giles’ Cathedral and prepared for its departure to London. According to Woman & Home, the earrings were a gift from her parents in the 1960s, and she wore the same set to her father’s funeral in 2021.

Kate Middleton wore one of Queen Elizabeth’s accessories during the funeral procession in London to honor her late grandmother-in-law. According to People, the Princess of Wales wore a pearl shamrock brooch that belonged to the Queen and was handed to the monarch during a tour to South Korea in 1999.

The royal family marched behind the procession of the Queen’s casket from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall on Wednesday to honor the late monarch. The casket will be on display in Westminster Hall for five days, where members of the public can pay their respects until the Queen’s burial on September 19.
