According to an unnamed source, she and five other performers were preparing to sue SyCo for at least £1 million ($1.2 million)

According to a source, Simon Cowell’s production business is facing a multimillion-dollar lawsuit from previous X Factor participants.

A source who did not want to be named said that she and five other performers were talking to a law firm about suing SyCo for at least £1 million ($1.2 million) because they were “bullied, mistreated, and ignored.”

“It was a terrifying experience to be on the show. As a result, we’ve been suffering for years. It’s dreadful. ” According to the woman, she informed the newspaper.

One Direction and Little Mix rose to prominence on the UK edition of the show, which finished in 2018 and also aired in the US for three seasons. Britain’s Got Talent and America’s Got Talent are both co-produced by SyCo.

“We lost a lot of money from not working for parts of our lives to deal with trauma from the program,” the woman told the Mirror.

“It will be a multi-million pound case. It’s about justice, about being rewarded for the time and money we’ve spent with medical professionals attempting to return to normalcy. ”

According to the woman, many contestants were sleep deprived, in tears, and traumatized before going on stage.

“Nobody cared about your mental health. We were nothing more than pawns in their game. I entered the show with confidence, ambition, and charisma, “she stated. “I’m now highly distrustful, emotional, tense, and anxious.”

SyCo asked The Mirror to make it clear that there is no claim that Cowell knew about or took part in the events or actions described by the former contestants.

“Welfare of those taking part is our No. 1 priority, and we have comprehensive systems and welfare teams in place to ensure help is always available,” an X Factor spokeswoman told the publication.

“We are not aware of any legal allegations being filed against The X Factor, and despite being off the air for several years, we remain available to discuss concerns with anyone who wishes to do so.”

According to a source acquainted with the matter, there could be many more claimants, with lawyers feeling the contenders have a good case that will be brought up in due course.
