A South Carolina couple was approaching their 60th wedding anniversary. Abigail Lidick, a professional photographer, decided to photograph and celebrate the occasion with the family.
Ginger, 78, and George, 83, traveled to New Jersey to see their grandchild. They brought a bridal gown and flowers for a special photo shoot and did their grandmother’s hair and makeup.
“I wanted to make them feel special and give them time to spend with their families.” “They would go to any length for their grandchildren,” Abigail explained.
According to Abigail, Grandma and Grandpa are the “go-to guys” who are always there for sound counsel.
“You can call and ask them anything; nothing is forbidden.” They’re amusing and always crack jokes. Grandpa is constantly singing and making Grandma giggle. “They’re always together,” she explained.
The couple has some advice for newlyweds.
First and foremost, “do not go to bed furious.”
Second, “always be willing to forgive, because you have no choice.”
Finally, “maintain your sense of humor.”
Ginger, 78, and George, 83, are the parents of four children, 18 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
