Yvonne Dowlen is a 90-year-old figure skater with the grace of a dancer and complete control of the ice rink.

Yvonne Dowlen, a 90-year-old ice skater from Denver, is determined to continue skating for as long as she possibly can. Every day is another chance for her to glide gracefully and spin effortlessly on the ice rink, which is unquestionably her kingdom.
That would be impressive and amazing on its own, but Yvonne is much more than a tenacious determination to stay at the top of her game for as long as possible. Her passion for ice dancing inspires her life philosophy and optimism.

Yvonne says she “let her life happen to her,” gliding through it with the same ease she has when flying over ice. But the truth is that she has a steely resolve that has driven her to overcome significant obstacles in her life. Doctors told her she would never be able to skate again after she was in a serious car accident.
Despite the grim prognosis, she was back on the ice two months later with the help of her daughter. When she suffered a stroke at the age of 88, she refused to give up and relearned ice skating in order to return to the rink.

When Yvonne dances on the ice, she is more than just a lovely sight to behold. She is an inspiration and role model for anyone who wants to conquer life and do what they love for as long as they can. Because that is exactly what Yvonne has done.
