For the first time, Johnny Carson welcomes Michael J. Fox from the 1980s.

When Michael J. Fox appeared on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson’ in 1985, no star was bigger than him. Michael appeared in ‘Back to the Future,’ one of the most iconic films of the 1980s.

Johnny introduces Michael while discussing his new hot summer movie, and the audience erupts in applause. Johnny also mentions Michael’s upcoming film ‘Teen Wolf,’ which has already become an 80s classic. Michael J. Fox walks out, his hands in his pockets and a smile on his face. Johnny inquires if he is tired of people commenting on his small stature. “Uh, not really,” Michael responds. So I’ve always been short.”

As a kid, Michael says it was always an advantage because whenever a friend got locked out of their house, he was the one who climbed through the window to open the front door. He also discussed how his short stature helped him land acting roles, saying, “I started acting when I was 15, playing like ten-year-olds. As a result, it’s always worked for me.”

Johnny inquired as to whether Michael was of a certain age and still believed he would grow. “Yeah, yesterday,” Michael says. For a few moments, I thought, ‘Maybe, maybe.’ No, I’ve grown accustomed to it.”

“Most actors, when they have lean periods and get some bread coming in, go out and say, okay, now I’m going to buy something I wanted,” Johnny says. Just getting out of luxury.”

Michael recalls how he used to despise it when a young man his age drove by in a flashy car, saying, “I used to despise those jerks. So I went out and purchased one.”

He describes how he recently purchased a home in the hills, which reminds him of Canada due to the abundance of dirt and trees. When Michael went house hunting, he threw his keys on the floor and exclaimed, “This is my house!” The entire interview is a joy to watch as the star of the hit sitcom “Family Ties” enjoys his time with Johnny.
