‘The Carol Burnett Show’ welcomed Robert Goulet as a guest star. The sensational singer appeared in a sketch as the ‘Kissing Bandit.’ Carol is terrified as the title screen shows ‘As the Stomach Turns,’ and the narrator explains that Carol has heard of a kissing bandit on the loose.

She secures every window and locks the door. “So, you’re The Kissing Bandit,” she says to Robert as she walks over to a table. Carol asks him how he became the kissing bandit, and he confirms her suspicions.
Robert is embarrassed and refuses to discuss it. Carol swears she won’t tell anyone, saying, “My lips are sealed.” Robert admits that he wants to kiss any woman he sees, even if she isn’t attractive. Carol presses her face against his and inquires, “Any woman?” “Well…within reason,” he says. Last week alone, he kissed 43 women in the park, and now the police are after him. Robert claims he has lost both his job and his money.

He spent $200 on Chapsticks alone last month. Carol answers the doorbell, and a woman walks in, saying, “Don’t you remember me?” “Why it’s my teenage daughter who struck a blow for women’s lib and became a construction worker,” Carol says as the camera pans in on her.
Her daughter brings a baby with her, and Carol takes the baby to babysit while her daughter tells her that whoever catches the kissing bandit will win money. Carol quickly kicks her out, and Robert begins to ache, so he asks Carol for a shower, and she expects a kiss.

Carol becomes excited when Robert returns under a spell. When he goes to kiss her, the bell rings, and she sighs, “Oh no.” When they open the door, Harvey Korman, dressed as a woman, laughs and speaks in a high-pitched voice.
Harvey sprays perfume, and the bandit is drawn to him; however, Carol takes the perfume, and the bandit kisses her instead. Harvey yells, “Halt in the name of the law,” ripping off his wig. The entire sketch is a hilarious soap opera parody.
