A rescue squad in the United Kingdom received a call about an abandoned residence, where they discovered four spaniel puppies in a bucket.
The puppies were in awful condition: they were nearly entirely hairless, had insect bites, and their eyes and ears were inflamed.

They were also malnourished and developmentally deficient for their age. The rescue squad rushed them to a shelter with a veterinary clinic, where professionals began severe treatment.
The puppies had to take a lot of medication, which included injections, eye and ear treatments, and many daily tablets.

It was difficult to treat these small ones, but the veterinarians were able to help them recover. Three of the puppies were adopted, but Badger, a great dog, was not so fortunate at first.
He was adopted by one family at first, but they returned him because he was too busy and troublesome. Volunteers attempted to entertain him by hiding balls in various corners, but he quickly located them.

It was this dog’s keen sense of smell that led the volunteers to reach out to the police. The rescue team urgently brought them to a shelter with a veterinary clinic, where specialists started their serious treatment.
