The proud father is Derek Godwin. The 51-year-old supported his daughter Dayona by going to all of her basketball games throughout high school and college, even though doing so prevented him from fulfilling a lifetime desire of his to see a Philadelphia Eagles game during the football season.
Dayona did not disregard her offering. He, therefore, came up with a unique idea for his father to realize his desire after graduating! Dayona had secretly purchased two tickets for the Eagles vs. Washington game on Father’s Day.
I realize this isn’t your standard card, but trust me, it will all be worthwhile, she wrote. I want to start by expressing how wonderful a father you are and how grateful I am to have someone like you.
