When his two military boys walk through the door, Dad gets his birthday wish… View the video below…

Jeff was enjoying his birthday lunch when he noticed two folks he recognized.

Men and women in the armed forces are some of the most kind, brave, and selfless people on the planet.

Joining is a courageous decision in and of itself. That means they’ll be separated from their families and friends for months, if not years. And there’s a good chance you won’t return.

When their children sign up, all parents are concerned about this.
It also makes parents pleased that their child opted to serve their country. This adds to the sweetness and intensity of reunions like the one you’ll witness here.

Jeff Grimm was 50 years old, and all he wanted on his birthday was for his three children to return home. Jeff desired to see his family because it had been two years since they had all been together.

Shelby, his youngest daughter, was still at college, while his older boys, Dane and Drew, were in the marines and air force, respectively. Jeff’s birthday fantasy appeared to be just that: a dream.

As a result, his wife Melanie assisted in making his fantasy come true.

For an early birthday celebration, the couple went out to lunch in Pewee Valley, Kentucky. Jeff sat next to his wife Melanie, who taped their conversation about doughnuts and the rain.

Then, unexpectedly, his two sons, who were in the military, arrived to surprise him.

Jeff turns to his left, toward the door, and his mouth drops as his 26-year-old son Dane and his 22-year-old sibling Drew walk in with large smiles and their uniforms gleaming in the light.

Jeff looks down and lets his tears fall at that instant.

As he steps up to give his two sons a long-overdue hug, the father of three smiles and tries hard not to cry.

Melanie, Melanie’s mother, is 45 years old. She is making every effort not to cry. This is what she told Story Trender:

“Jeff’s 50th birthday is on September 30, so I knew we had to do something big that he would remember for the rest of his life.”

She said, “Dane had been away on several hard deployments, and Drew was stationed in Italy, so the boys hadn’t both been home at the same time in almost two years.”

Melanie and her sons had to plan ahead of time and work hard to make it happen.
“After a number of very stressful setbacks and weeks of thinking we wouldn’t be able to pull it off,” the mother of three explained, “we finally got the go-ahead for both boys to come home, and we could start planning the surprise.”

“After I picked up Drew, we had to sneak him into the house. He stayed in my daughter’s empty room.”

It’s difficult to think that the surprise was not wrecked. Shelby was unable to attend the restaurant, but Melanie claims Shelby surprised Jeff by returning home.

Having family present is the finest birthday present.

This family must have enjoyed a wonderful meal at home. And they certainly deserved it!
