The movie «Ghostbusters» hit screens in 1984, becoming the highest-grossing comedy of its time. It quickly gained cult status and maintains it even 40 years later.
Starring in «Ghostbusters» were Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson, and Sigourney Weaver. Over the past four decades, they’ve all changed considerably, but some, like Bill Murray and Sigourney Weaver, continue to thrive in the film industry, building impressive careers.
Others, like Dan Aykroyd (who penned the screenplay for «Ghostbusters: Afterlife» in 2021) and Harold Ramis (who appeared in the same sequel), haven’t completely stepped away from the business.
Sadly, some actors from the iconic ghost-hunting film are no longer with us. And many you likely wouldn’t recognize without a hint. Our gallery will show you just how much has changed over the past 40 years.
