Shannen Doherty Says Ex-Husband Kurt Iswarienko Is Waiting for Her to ‘Die’ So He Doesn’t Have to Pay Spousal Support

Shannen Doherty is seeking spousal support due to a decrease in her monthly income.

According to documents obtained by PEOPLE, it appears that the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum, who is 53 years old, has not yet received the financial information she requested regarding her ex-husband Kurt Iswarienko’s collection of original photography work. According to her, this is causing a delay in the process as her health deteriorates due to her terminal cancer.

«It’s absolutely unfair that Kurt is allowed to drag out our divorce, hoping that I pass away before he has to fulfill his financial obligations, all while he carries on with his life and neglects his duties towards his terminally ill wife of over 11 years,» she declares in the documents.

Iswarienko’s lawyer countered this assertion, stating that he had proposed a settlement agreement in October 2023, demonstrating his desire to reach a resolution. However, Doherty refuted this claim. The actress ended her marriage in April 2023, after being together for 11 years.

«Kurt is not just patiently waiting for Shannen’s passing,» attorney Katherine Heersema clarified. «He genuinely cares about Shannen’s well-being and hopes that they can resolve this case and move on.»

Doherty stated that he rejected proposed settlements because they failed to address the issues of his original works created during marriage and his earning capacity.

In the filing, the podcast host is seeking $15,434 per month in spousal support from the photographer. She argues that she will lose her SAG health insurance due to unemployment and her Charmed residuals are decreasing.

Doherty is also claiming that Iswarienko lives a lavish lifestyle, while she herself has no access to funds, their airplane, or their vacation home in Texas.

«Kurt has been using the airplane, spending large amounts of money at medical spas, jewelry stores, Gucci, and on flights… all while claiming he doesn’t have enough funds to support me,» the filing states.

According to the records, Iswarienko has been earning an average annual income of $672,916 over the past three years, which is the amount he can spend. According to Doherty’s lawyers, the spousal support would be deducted from the remaining monthly spendable amount of $56,076.

Based on the calculations, Doherty’s annual average income amounted to $259,708. This figure takes into account her work in both 2021 and 2022, as well as residuals and the period when she had health insurance. According to Doherty’s lawyers, her income for this year has decreased significantly, totaling just over $25,000.

Additionally, she has accumulated almost $160,000 in legal fees and is asking Iswarienko to cover $130,000 for future fees, as well as $10,000 to settle her current balance with her attorneys.
