A luxury cruise ship will allow residents to live at sea indefinitely. Inside its 237-square-foot studios, which sell for $1 million.

You can live your fantasy of living at sea permanently for a cool $1 million.

Just be prepared to give up your cozy multi-room home in exchange for a studio condominium so small that you’ll have to sleep on a Murphy bed.

Storylines is currently constructing the 18-deck MV Narrative, the company’s first luxury residential cruise ship that will go around the world indefinitely.

The ship and its 1,000 passengers won’t go on this once-in-a-lifetime trip until 2025, but the 547 floating homes on board have already won the hearts and wallets of many eager customers.

Some floor plans are now nearly sold out, according to Katie Drew, Storylines’ vice president of marketing.

The cruise ship’s 741-foot length is lined with 11 semi-customizable floor designs.

The prices of these residences range from $1 million for a 237-square-foot studio to luxury New York City apartments…

… to a huge 1,970-square-foot four-bedroom, two-story mansion priced at $8 million.

The 237-square-foot residence is not your average $1.1 million condo.

The Storyline brochure says that you’ll still have storage units, a closet, and a TV screen on a swivel arm.

The studio apartment, on the other hand, uses a queen-size Murphy bed instead of a bedroom or a barrier that separates the living area from the improvised bedroom space…

… which implies that when not in use, the bed may be stored on the wall.

Remote workers that use the Narrative’s WiFi can use the ship’s workspace or rent private offices.

If they choose to work from home, they can use the table and two seats that sit just across the bed.

The general living area is then separated from the bathroom by a small bar.

Even though there is no bathtub, the neutral bathroom has modern furniture and a bright vanity that could compete with a luxury bathroom on land that costs a million or more.

People who live on land might be surprised to pay a million dollars for a small studio apartment.

After all, according to Zillow data, the typical $1 million home is 2,624 square feet.
