Aidan Bryant, a teen aerialist, dazzles the judges with a beautiful acrobatic dance routine.

Aerialist Aidan Bryan astounds the audience by flying above AGT.

Following his incredible performance in the quarterfinals, aerialist Aidan Bryant upped his game and brought the music, choreography, and explosive talent to have a chance at the finals on America’s Got Talent.

Aidan’s mother, like many other performers, has long been his biggest fan, and she was in the audience tonight.

The auditorium was packed with fans, to the point where Simon Cowell didn’t want to hear Howie Mandell’s criticism.

“I love what you did, if I had one constructive piece of criticism—” began Howie, only to be cut off by Simon Cowell.

“Don’t waste your time,” he advised. “He’s sixteen years old,” Cowell said later. He didn’t have a safety mat. He could have fractured his neck. This is by far the best live performance.”

“You’re the one to beat,” he declared.

His audition performance astounded the judges as well.

“When he first started doing it, I was like, ‘what are you doing?'” she explained. “But he liked it, so I told him, ‘do your thing as long as you’re careful.'”

It’s been a long road for them both to get to the America’s Got Talent stage.

“It’s amazing to see him so happy because I’ve seen him struggle his whole life at school,” she said, explaining that the gifted aerialist struggled with more academic pursuits.

“I was worried about his future and didn’t know where he was going, but now he knows what he wants to do and taught himself.”

Aidan taught himself the art, which begs the question, did he do a good job?

Aidan took to the air on a three-foot ring and performed a series of spins, drops, twirls, and aerial pirouettes that seemed to defy gravity while showcasing Aidan’s strength and skill, set to a cover of Tears for Fears’ “Shout.”

Heidi Klum, Sophia Vergara, Howie Mandell, and even Simon Cowell praised Aidan for his efforts.

“I thought it was a ridiculously good show audition,” Cowell said.

That earned him four yeses, a spot in the quarterfinals, and an answer to the question of whether you can teach yourself the high-flying skillset required to put on an aerial show.

Yes, without a doubt.

One thing is certain: his mother will be rooting for him all the way.

“I am so proud of him. Aidan is a sparkle, and I hope his dreams come true now that he’s on America’s Got Talent.”
