Conor Scott delivered an outstanding performance. Some say his cover rivaled the quality of the original song. Only one judge, however, flipped during his hearing.

Because some of the teams were already full, the first issue was that there was no room for him. Second, one of the judges thought he lacked the ability to train Conor.

The lesson for this young man, and for all of us, is that talent is not everything. Persistence is more important than talent. The key is to show up multiple times rather than just once and be the best.
