Chelsea Hill was looking forward to the most significant and joyful event of her life: her wedding day. The girl had spent a long time planning for it, and on this day she truly wanted to realize another ambition of hers: to walk to the altar on her own.
Chelsea was paralyzed following the accident in 2010, and the bottom half of her body did not move. Although the child was confined to a wheelchair, she retained her determination, hope, and independence. She went on to become a disability rights champion, an activist, and even the creator of a wheelchair dancing club.
Chelsea met Jay Bloomfield in 2014. He fell in love with a girl and eventually proposed to her. His beloved’s restricted prospects did not worry him. He was prepared to spend the rest of his life with Chelsea. And she proceeded to plan the wedding, vowing to go to the altar on her own two feet at any cost.
Hill needed a unique wheeled prop that was designed with a wedding theme. Fixing mechanisms on the girls’ legs were also created, which helped maintain them upright. Even the bride’s gown was tailored for the occasion, with a detachable skirt that could be quickly loosened to allow the girl to sit in a wheelchair.
Her loving father assisted her in overcoming the long road to her beloved Chelsea. And as the husband saw his wife coming towards him on her own feet, he couldn’t stop crying with joy. The young lady was delighted as well. She subsequently said that she would remember these amazing experiences for the rest of her life. She is grateful for the opportunity to stand next to Jay. And, although the handicap, according to Hill, did not deprive her of anything significant, she longed to see her beloved’s face and feel his breath next to her.
